How do you teach a play from 1784 to students in 2024? By discussing what is universally valid and timeless about human nature, regardless of the era in which people lived. But how do you illustrate how people lived and what was relevant then? Through custom animation and graphic elements created from scratch. The educational clip “The Marriage of Figaro” features original graphics, crafted with the most authentic details for a visual experience that transports you to the past, but with a voice that keeps you in the present. Produced through a research grant in digital pedagogy, the clip is an example of how to update content that might seem outdated.
