We constantly experiment to discover new communication paths by combining tradition with technology. We push boundaries and have a great time in the process.
All these experiments later become products.

REVIZIA DE FILM

Project Description

Kinelink started from a passion for film. So, the Film Review came naturally, even if unplanned, like a child that the whole team loved and cared for.

Every Monday morning found us at the office with intense and heated discussions about the movies watched over the weekend. So, it didn’t take anyone by surprise when we thought about how to put our discussions and opinions into a format to share with the audience. That’s how the four sections, the reviews, the special columns, and all the other materials that populate the Revizia de Film YouTube channel came about. From the beginning until now… we attended premieres and film launches, events dedicated to the industry, and the Transilvania International Film Festival. Where we also won the “Alex. Leo Șerban” award.
We prepared the exact moment when we were invited on the stage of the Cluj-Napoca National Theatre during the TIFF Gala, you just need to hit play below.

TOMODACHI

Interactive Multimedia Theater Show

Project Description

Sometimes, we like to put on a show. And when we do, we want it to be epic. That was the driving force behind the Tomodachi project, which is one of the most epic stories ever told on stage. And because stories must still be reinvented in the era of entertainment, we added interactivity and audience engagement, sprinkling in some contemporary themes as well.
Produced in co-production with the “Fani Tardini” Dramatic Theater, the show was a success, with Tomodachi becoming a beloved and cherished character by all children.

SUPER-MAN

Project Description

Sometimes, superheroes do crazy things. Especially when they’re young and need money. Mihai Păun’s short film, the shape-shifter from our team, was nominated at two international film festivals, which makes us happy and proud that he chose to produce it in-house.

LA VATRĂ

Documentary film

Project Description

When the 300th Mechanized Infantry Battalion “Saint Andrew” and the “Mihail Kogălniceanu” National College proposed to us the realization of an artistic project for the Romanian soldiers in Afghanistan, we didn’t hesitate for long and suggested a documentary film. Made with minimal resources but with a sincere desire to convey a strong message of support for the Romanian soldiers in that theater of operations, “La Vatră” tells the story of those who eagerly await them and often have their hearts in their mouths for the Romanian soldiers deployed on missions.
Following a debate plan created by the students of the college and a plan for the families’ confessions, the film tells the story of the tense wait at “home” and the lives of those who remain “at the hearth.”

ȘCOALĂ-TE

Theatrical Performance
Play Video
Project Description

We believe that the world of theater is not about telling any stories, but about telling the ones that matter. That was the principle we followed in creating the theatrical performance “Wake Up”, which brought together a theater troupe from the “V. Alecsandri” National College around an innovative endeavor: to write and perform issues that are relevant and important to them and therefore to ourselves.
Confronted with the exploration of their own successes and failures, the members of the troupe experienced one of the most complex projects they had been involved in up to that point. Lasting for over a year, “Wake Up” premiered to the applause of their colleagues and friends and represented such a powerful and meaningful experience that some of the students later chose related fields of study in college.

TABĂRA DE FILMMAKING

Film Camp
Project Description

What do you do when you love movies? You watch them or… you make them.
Kinelink’s filmmaking camp is a program that teaches participants what it means to make a film, from idea to projection. How do we proceed? We launch a call for applications, participants sign up, we establish the working team, and then we get to work: we identify the subject, action, characters, write the script, do pre-production, film, edit, and then… we release the film. All this madness lasts between two weeks and a month, but depending on the complexity of the project (and the number of participants) we can narrow or extend it with maximum flexibility.

We like to believe that the filmmaking camp has two components: thematic and transformational.

Why thematic?
Together with the participants, we decide on the idea for the film to be produced during the camp. Once the subject is outlined, participants choose one or more missions, so that with their help and that of experienced mentors in the field, we cover all stages of filmmaking: writing and adapting the script, creating the storyboard, identifying actors and the character played, choosing the set, filming locations, any costume details, filming, editing, creating the soundtrack, etc. We also don’t forget about less obvious roles, such as graphic design or communication skills regarding the launch and promotion of the film. We try to integrate participants as much as possible into activities that correspond to their aptitudes, desires, or interests, and, most importantly, we seek to stimulate their own vision and contribution to achieving the team’s common goal.

What do you mean by transformational?
We aim for Kinelink’s filmmaking camp to be more than just an opportunity for practical activities and acquiring new knowledge. Thus, we will encourage participants to express their creativity in an environment that will allow them to be both independent and learn what teamwork means. We will try to stimulate their expressive, communication, and presentation skills of ideas and opinions, in a working context that values individual contribution through a collective process. Ultimately, today’s world doesn’t offer many situations where you can fully enjoy achieving a goal in which you can identify both your own contribution and how you collaborated with others, so every time we’ve organized it, the camp has created a special emulation and an overwhelming feeling.
